First Barbie(cue) of the Season

Last week I had enough ideas for five blogs and a theme for every day of the week. For example, "Ask a Diplomat" for life abroad, "Abundance" for devotionals, "500 Words" for fiction, "Angry Moms Club" for the Mommy Blog. This week my brain seems to be on vacation.  

We went to the mountains for a barbecue with friends from church. Fortunately it was a magnificent day and very little brainpower was required.  Notice the paella pan hanging from the awning.  

The kids and dog ran laps around the house and property. That is a padel court and a pool in the background. Paddle is all the rage, similar to tennis but slightly smaller. 

Tristan went to a minecraft birthday party yesterday. The instructions were to bring your own computer. Troy said it looks like school. Tristan said it looks boring, but really they were all yelling and shouting at each other, "kill that monster!  Don't touch that button!"  I say, "What good posture these kids have!" All different perspectives :-)
