Our friends Tony and Irene from our church small group had a birthday party, and I just want to say how special it is when church families commit to each other. It is not something to be taken for granted.
After my trip with Nelson to the Prado, I told Tony that he could have been the model for El Greco in this painting of Jesus. I was apparently not the first person to tell him that, and he knew exactly which painting.
He's turning 33, the same age as Jesus, he said.
Irene loves the bake. Here are three of the four cakes. But what I really wanted to show was Irene's cousin. I had to tease Tristan because she's beautiful, she speaks English, she's 15, and he ignored her completely to play with his cell phone. But that's okay. Nice girls like guys who aren't all over them.
