Sick Day

Winston had the fever that is going around and got another day off from school.
Pioneer woman tip of the day: how to crush ice. Roll it up in a cloth and whack it with a rolling pin. Gather the edges carefully or the ice will shoot out like a hockey puck.
The reason I sent so little the second week of the break was that it rained the whole  time and I did as little as possible except watch the fire. At the risk of sounding like a fanatic of Tracker School, every piece of wood has its own character and burns differently.  Nothing like it will ever be seen again. And furthermore, the sacrifice of a tree deserves my respect. Anyway, I could sit there for hours and was happy to have Winston's illness as an excuse to respectfully lounge for one more day.
He was up reading though still tired. He spent the rest of the day in the car with me: embassy, grocery, three stops to sign up for archery and I still don't have all the paperwork, school, then to the metro to pick up Troy.  And the kids think school is boring!
