Cancer Society Update

I'm still alive, even though I told everyone that I would die of shock is the AECC called me back. They called back!  I don't have a date yet but I will be going to a hospital between home and the embassy. I imagine that I will be making the rounds of the inpatient cancer ward. They will assign me a coworker to try me out with my limited language. 

I'm also still alive four years later. My anniversary of being cancer-free is May 5. Praise the Lord! 

I was feeling bad about complaining to anyone who would listen about being turned down as a volunteer. But now I couldn't turn back even if I wanted to, because so many people are interested and cheering me on.  Not that I want to turn back, but when the door closes I want to be willing to accept it.
