How to calm an over excited puppy

I typed into Google, "how to calm an over excited puppy."  The best advice I found was to make a toy with some food in it. The author called it a "food puzzle."  So while I was thinking about how to do that but not doing anything about it, Wyatt came up with the bottle on a string with noisy rocks in it. They chased each other around the garden until Wyatt got tired of it. 

So then I remembered the food puzzle and we put the dog treat in the bottle. It really did keep him busy on and off for two hours. 

Don't try to read the message below, just notice that there are six messages back and forth to plan a playdate...for dogs.  It is supposed to be two weeks from now, so I anticipate that the thread will be longer by the end.  The impossible has become possible.

In the meantime, I have an interview Monday 12 May with the volunteer coordinator at My hospital :-).  And tomorrow I'm going to visit my Spanish friend who is pregnant and on bed rest.
